About Us

Eco-Schools is a global programme recognized by the UNDESA – UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005 – 2014) that empowers students to take an active role in promoting sustainability in their schools and communities. Our goal is to empower students to be the change our sustainable world needs by engaging them in fun, action-oriented, and socially responsible learning.

The Eco-Schools Bangladesh programme provides a framework for schools to integrate environmental education into their curriculum and operations, with the goal of creating a more sustainable future. This programme enables schools to enhance their environmental impact, leading to more sustainable and responsible environments. By challenging students to address environmental issues and achieve tangible results, the programme motivates them to believe in their ability to create change.

In Bangladesh, aligning with the Eco-Schools methodology, themes, and guidelines for greening education, this program has already set impressive examples in various areas, including litter waste management, food safety, physical and mental health, and tobacco and nicotine use control, as well as the production of eco-friendly products.
